How can I treat Keratosis Pilaris on my body?

Keratosis pilaris is a common, harmless skin condition and causes small, hard bumps that may make your skin feel like sandpaper. The bumps are often light-colored. They usually appear on your upper arms and thighs, sometimes with redness or swelling. They can also show up on your face, but that’s less common.

Keratosis Pilaris occurs as skin cells build up over the hair follicle, clogging the pore and causing bumps and inflammation. Daily exfoliation in conjunction with hydration will be very helpful to reduce these bumps. If you experience this condition on the face, we recommend a daily skincare regimen to cleanse, exfoliate and hydrate your skin.

For the body, we suggest our Acne Body Wash. This triple-action body wash features fine-grained date seed powder, salicylic acid, and triclosan to exfoliate, deep clean pores, and prevent future breakouts.

For the face we recommend a gentle cleanser such as our Renewing Cleansing Cream, a gentle treatment product that will exfoliate the dead surface skin cells, our Acne Clearing Solution, as well as a lightweight hydrator formulated to sooth sensitive and inflamed skin and our Sensitive Skin Soothing Serum.
