Environmental Shield Regimen Review

Tori Sung Self-Explanatori Blog
Review by Self-Explanatori Blog

Like many others, I have a love/hate relationship with the sun; I love to frolic around on sunny days but hate the freckles it brings out, and the sun spots that never seem to fade. If you’re like me and rarely listened to your parents’ sunscreen policing, or you had that moment where you decided that looking two shades darker was more important than re-applying your SPF 50 sunscreen, you have come to the right place.

The products below are from Murad’s Environmental Shield line which is meant to protect your skin from the sun and premature aging while reviving its radiance, and reducing dark spots and wrinkles. Clearly, I don’t have many wrinkles yet at the ripe age of 21, but I worked outdoors at a summer camp for two years and could always use a little brightening and dark spot correcting. I’m still searching for that miracle product that makes your skin look like you were literally born yesterday, but in the meantime I’ll try anything that gets it anywhere close to that.

I LOVE Murad. (I’ve actually written about two of their other lines before: their Age Reform Intensives and the Blemish Control Travel Kit. If those sound like they’re more up your skincare alley, then I’d definitely give those posts a read). One thing I love about Murad is that everything is always made easy with a clear 3-step process so if you’re really confused about when you’re supposed to use a serum in your skincare routine, or just have no idea where to start when trying to choose out of their large selection of products, it makes it a little easier.

There are more products to this line than the three reviewed below, but hopefully this gives you a taste of what it has to offer, and if it’s worth purchasing!

1) Cleanse | Tone : Essential-C Cleanser

Murad Environmetal Shield Skincare Review Cleanser

I have never been a wash-my-face-in-the-morning person. Ever. I think I never got into it because I really don’t like to moisturize my face in the morning either. A lot of the cleansers I’ve used are amazing but often immediately leave me feeling like I’ve had all of the moisture sucked out of my skin, so I like to avoid this entire process.

The Essential-C Cleanser is the first and only cleanser I’ve actually been able to use, and continue using, in the morning. This is totally a morning cleanser. There is by no means any reason why you can’t use this at night (I think it’s actually included in Murad’s Night & Day regimen sets?) but this is literally the best way I can describe it to you. It smells AMAZING. The fruity citrusy scent punches you right in the face (in the gentlest way possible) and instantly puts me in a better mood and makes me a little more alert than I was 10 seconds before I lathered it on my face. The scent is beautiful but strong, so if you really do not like scented products, maybe try a tester size out before committing to a full size to see if you can handle it.

With Vitamins A, C and E, this cleanser is meant to neutralize environmental aggressors, restore moisture, and prepare your skin for repair. I can’t really speak to whether this cleanser made a difference in terms of environmental factors, but it definitely left my skin feeling pet-your-own-face smooth and squeaky clean, but didn’t make me feel like I’d just stripped all of the moisture from my skin. I would 100% recommend investing in this if you’re prone to dry skin, or if you’re looking for a morning cleanser that sets your skin as the perfect base for whatever products you put on afterwards.

2) Treat | Repair : Advanced Active Radiance Serum

Murad Environmetal Shield Skincare Review Serum

This is my favourite product out of these three. I’ve actually tried quite a few similar serum-type products to get rid of dark/sun spots including Sunday Riley’s Good Genes Treatment, and Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution. Quite honestly, both of these products help fade dark sun spots, but one is ridiculously pricey in a way that makes you never want to use it, and I had to use the other for months before I saw any improvement. This serum is better than both of those products combined.

Before I get into talking about the actual product, I need to talk about the packaging. I am NOT a fan of pumps. So many get clogged up easily or are prone to explode which makes travelling with them a nightmare. The best part about this serum? It’s lid. Even though the pump itself doesn’t twist and lock (which I never find is that big of a help anyways when your suitcase gets thrown around), the lid seals it completely and obviously makes it difficult for the pump to be pushed or broken. I wouldn’t recommend this, but I literally swung this bottle around violently while just holding onto the lid (over my couch just in case it fell) and it didn’t pop off. Basically what I’m trying to say is that this product restored my faith in the ability to travel with products with a pump.

This serum is meant to protect and repair skin with Vitamin C technology that neutralizes free radicals, restoring tone, texture and skin firmness. I preferred using it at night (again, not a big morning skincare routine person) and literally found myself admiring my reflection for a little too long in the mirror each morning because my skin looked and felt so good.

Another thing I love about this is that it goes on smoothly and absorbs almost INSTANTLY. It doesn’t leave behind any sticky residue, or give you that gross feeling like it’s never going to absorb into your skin.

Again, the only issue I can foresee with this product is that it also has a strong citrus scent. However, the scent does disappear once the product absorbs into your skin, so you won’t have to be conscious of it for long if you really can’t handle scented products. Honestly though, if you’ve ever tried any serums that claim to do similar things, they all have a strong scent to them. The Sunday Riley treatment’s smell is probably the most controversial (I actually didn’t mind it), but it definitely lingers for quite a while in comparison to this one.

3) Hydrate | Protect : Essential-C Day Moisture – SPF 30

Murad Environmetal Shield Skincare Review Cream SPF

First things first, you literally cannot tell this is SPF 30. It doesn’t feel sunscreen-y and doesn’t start to flake during the day like sunscreen sometimes tends to do after you’ve been wearing it for a while.

I really like this moisturizer. The few times I tried it in the morning (still working on sticking to that morning skincare routine) it was the perfect base for makeup. I didn’t need to use any primer with it, and it honestly just makes your skin glow. Sometimes I find that products with SPF can be irritating to use because they cause breakouts, but I have had no issues with this moisturizer so far. Even though it’s pricier than drugstore moisturizers, a little goes a long way. I’ve used this product upwards of ten times and it’s still more than 3/4 full.

Because I currently live in Montreal where it’s cold and I only see the sun for 6 hours a day, I’m probably not going to use this product as much as I would in the warmer months. Even though I do think it’s important to wear products with SPF in them all year round, I’ll probably put using this cream on hold until the spring/summer. There’s also a nighttime version of this moisturizer that I haven’t tried but that I’m definitely considering after trying out the day version.

This product also has the citrus scent but I ADORE it in the cream. Realistically, if you’re one of those people who cuts up lemons, limes and oranges to put into your tea or water in the morning, you’re probably used to this smell anyways. The smell doesn’t fade as quickly as it does with the serum, but it’s light enough in this formulation that you get used to it within a few seconds.

The Lowdown
If you’re really looking for something to protect your skin, and to help you do the impossible and go back in time to repair some of the damage that’s already showing, look no further than this line. Out of the three product lines I’ve tried from Murad, this is my absolute favourite. My skin looks clearer and definitely feels firmer, but with a softer texture.

As I’ve said throughout this entire post, if you’re concerned about the beautiful citrus scent, I’d either try out a starter kit to see if you can handle it, or look for an alternative. The starter/travel kit is also a really cool option if you aren’t ready to fully commit and spend the money, but are interested in seeing if these products work for you.

As with the other Murad products I’ve tried, a little goes a long way. Despite being pricier than some drugstore skincare products, these will last you a long time and are probably better for your skin overall. Personally, I know my skin just reacts better when I stick to one formulated line of products at a time instead of dabbling in a bunch of brands and their products all at once.

My Murad skincare regime

Murad has become a part of my skincare regime now for 2 months and I am so excited to finally share that regime with you! For year I have been so notorious for not washing my face every night and giving it the TLC it really needs, in the end it only made my dry skin suffer more.

Review by Roxanne from bonjourblissblog.com

I have to admit that less than a year ago you would find me crawling into bed after exhaustedly wiping my entire face with a baby wipe before bed and that’s it!! Terrible I know right? Must be a mom thing, I can’t be the only one who was doing this! They just work exceptionally well to remove mascara and are oh-so convenient…thank gosh I stopped though because I was only neglecting my skin by doing this and I knew better. On comes the colder weather and my dry skin was getting worse, as soon as mid fall hits there is a drastic change in the condition of my skin. When Murad reached out to me I thought, well isn’t this product just for acneic skin? NO! They have a phenomenal range of products for different skin types with fantastic reviews if you check them out here at Sephora! As I mentioned previously this week I used to do aesthetics and after studying the skin you have a greater appreciation for the dynamics of it and what products claim to do and how. After checking out their entire website I knew the exact products I wanted to try! So, I have been using about 6 of their products religiously paired with my Spin cleansing brush I talked about on Instagram. Here are the products I am using & how…

  1. Cleanse & Tone with the Age Reform Refreshing Cleanser + my Spin brush
  2. Treat with the Resurgence Age-Diffusing Serum
  3. Hydrate & Protect with the Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture

  1. Cleanse & Tone with the Age Reform Refreshing Cleanser
  2. Hydrate & Protect with the Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture
  3. Treat & Protect with the Invisiblur Perfecting Shield

Refreshing Cleanser: This is a gentle formula cleanser that hydrates my skin while removing impurities from the surface but not stripping it of its oils (so important guys!). I cleanse every night with my Spin brush and in the mornings just my hands.

Age-Diffusing Serum: This serum works wonders and I can feel it work when I use it, your skin works so hard at night while you sleep so why not help it do its job? This product helps fight age-related dehydration which has been perfect for my skin and helped to reduce the fine lines I see creeping up on me!

Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture: This moisturizer is phenomenal, I put it on very heavy at night after my serum dries and in the morning my face feels baby smooth and seems to hold its moisture better all day as well!

Invisiblur Perfecting Shield: This bad boy has replaced my usual primer, I rarely wear foundation as I am a die hard tinted moisturizer fan and lately I have been using the Invisiblur + my Smashbox Halo bronzing powder (found here) and it’s perfect!

I’ve also been using their Hydro-Dynamic Eye Moisturizer at night and their Soothing Skin & lip care during the day with the cold front upon us! My skin has been really appreciating all of these products and I look forward to seeing the results after long term use!

Murad Environmental Shield Line Review

Review by Nee from Bebexo Beauty Blog

Come to think of it, our skin goes through a lot every single day. It’s exposed to UVA/UVB rays, pollution, and other environmental elements that can be damaging. In the long run, all of these factors can take a toll on your skin so it’s best to keep your skin protected.

A few weeks ago, I was given the opportunity to try out some Murad products and after checking out their skincare line, I decided to go with their Environmental Shield Line. The products from this line are designed to free skin of dullness, dark spots and wrinkles while protecting skin from environmental damage. I don’t have any fine lines or wrinkles yet but my skin can sure use some brightening action. It’s also not a bad idea to protect your skin’s future with an anti-photodamage regimen. I was sent a 3-step kit and one sample size product to review.

Murad Essential-C Cleanser

The Murad Essential-C Cleanser contains antioxidant vitamins A, C and E to neutralize free radicals and other environmental aggressors while Phospholipids bind moisture to the skin. This is the first step of my morning skincare routine and I love it because the tiny beads and light burst of citrus really wake me up. It gently cleanses excess sebum and makes my skin feel fresh and ready to receive the subsequent hydration benefits of other products in my regimen.

Murad Advance Radiance Serum

After cleansing, I apply the Murad Advance Active Radiance Serum. This is an environmental aging treatment which protects and repairs skin with a new Vitamin C technology that delivers 50 times the free radical neutralizing power of prior generations. This serum is lightweight and absorbs quickly into my skin. It doesn’t leave a tacky feeling and a little bit goes a long way. I received a 15mL deluxe sample but you can get the full 30mL bottle which is available on their website. After using this for a few days, I noticed a slight improvement in tone and texture. I will continue to use this serum to see if it gets any better. So far, so good.

Murad Essential-C Day Moisture SFP 30 PA+++

The third step in my morning skin care routine is the Murad Essential-C Day Moisture SFP 30 PA+++. Regardless of what the weather is outside, I always wear sunscreen when I leave the door because UVA rays can still penetrate through clouds and glass (so if you think you’re skin is safe in the car, think again). I appreciate that this particular face lotion has SFP 30 since my previous one had only SPF 15 and I also like that it has PA+++ which is the Japanese/Korean rating system to show how much protection you are getting from UVA rays. The more + signs, the higher the protection. Like the previous products, this lotion is packed with Vitamin C and high power antioxidants. The texture is thicker than most and it leans more towards the creamy side. As a result, it doesn’t get absorbed into my skin right away, but after a couple of minutes it settles in and I can apply makeup. If you have dry skin like me, you’d definitely like this one because it keeps your skin quenched during the cold season.

Murad Intensive-C Radiance Peel

Once or twice a week after cleansing, it is recommended that you use the Murad Intensive-C Radiance Peel to instantly reverse environmental aging caused by sun, smog and stress. I use this chemical peel sparingly once a week since I don’t have much of it and I already love it. It instantly brightens and smoothes my skin. All you have to do is apply it on your skin for 10 minutes and rinse it off with a warm washcloth. This has a tingling sensation upon application due to the glycolic acid which accelerates the turnover rate of damaged cells to and it also contains hydroquinone which is a lightening agent that can correct skin discoloration.

Intensive Age-Diffusing Serum Review

Review by Andrea Clare

I’ll be the first to admit, I don’t take very good care of my skin. I do wear sunscreen, wash my makeup  off every night and moisturize every day. But beyond the basics, I don’t do very much.  I’ve been pretty lucky with my skin.  I haven’t really had to work TOO hard to keep it clear.

However, now that I’m getting a little older, I’ve noticed (among other things, like to inability to stay up past 9pm) that my skin has has lost its lustre and has become much more dry.  Probably doesn’t help that I forget to drink water most days. It’s no wonder I’ve had kidney stones several times.

Once that dehydration hits, the wrinkles go rampant! At least in my case.  It seems over night I had all these new wrinkles along my forehead and around my eyes.  So, it wasn’t until very recently that I started seeking out new products that would aim at hydrating and nourishing my skin.

Murad skincare review13

I had the opportunity to try out a few different products from Murad, but this serum was by far my favourite.  It’s called the Intensive Age-Diffusing Serum. It is incredibly silky.  It’s like nothing I’ve ever put on my face before. It sinks into my skin in a flash and leaves it feeling plump and young again! Without drinking a sip of water! Haha, just kidding – drink your water!

Murad skincare review4

They recommend massaging the product evenly over your face, neck and chest. I usually skip the neck and chest (simply because I’m trying to stretch my supply of serum).  I use about a pea size amount to cover my forehead because that is where I have noticed most of my fine lines. And I use a second pea size pump for the remainder of my face and blend it all in with clean hands.  I usually add my usual moisturizer over the top as well, once the serum has had a chance to sink in.

Murad skincare review11

I can’t say I’ve noticed a huge difference in my skin from this product in particular, however, I love the way it feels on my skin and the glow it gives. It’s certainly one of my favourite parts of my skincare routine. It feels like pure luxury and skin heaven!

Murad skincare review12

I actually used Murad when I was a teen to combat a mild struggle with acne.  So, I was thrilled when Murad gave me the chance to try out their products for more mature skin, years after their products saved my skin in high school.

Try this Tuesday – New in from Murad

Hello Gorgeous!
It is such a joy to find amazing skincare products and I have been so lucky to be able to try the best of the best to share with you all.

Review by Michelle from Teach in Fashion

Today, I am sharing some amazing new products from Murad CanadaInvisiblur, Intensive Age Defying Serum, and Renewing Eye Cream are all new offerings from Murad’s extensive skincare line.

Invisiblur Perfecting Shield is a gel based product that blurs pores and smooths skin. This product goes on smooth, while blurring skin imperfections. I find this product is great used as a primer, or when you want a makeup-free day. What really sets this product apart is that there is SPF 30 included. As far as blurring products go, this one is the best of the best!
Renewing Eye Cream is a very lightweight cream that targets the eye area to combat puffiness crow’s feet, and dark circles. I find that as I am getting older and eye cream is essential to my daily routine. I love that this one goes on smooth and light. I use it twice daily, morning and evening, and I have noticed that my eyes look significantly refreshed. As a little hint-I like to keep this product in the fridge for the cooling effect, and I find it works faster.
Intensive Age Defying Serum  contains resurrection plant protein which hydrates skin leading to a healthy glow. This is a great product to use in the evening after you have cleansed your face. I cleanse and tone, then massage the serum on my face and neck. Since it has been getting cooler I like to apply my favourite moisturizer over top of the serum. The results are noticeable. My skin is looking smoother, and I am seeing a difference in some of the sun spots I have on my lower cheek area. This is a great product.
If this has not convinced you to try a Murad Canada product then head to the website here to learn more about the amazing skincare product line. There is a product for every skin type and I have had nothing but great results.

Confidence with Murad

I’ve mentioned many times before that I do not wear makeup on most days, well, this did not come from nowhere. It’s true I’ve always loved makeup but I never wear that much of it. However, I would rarely leave the house without makeup before this year. This year one of my main focuses was to investigate skincare lines to find the one that fits for me. I truly believe that not all products from one line will necessarily fit with your skin or lifestyle but you can find true gems. Firstly, I would like to mention that I don’t mess with skincare.

Review by Katia from Lapiz of luxury
Review by Katia from Lapiz of luxury

When I decide to share it with you, it’s because I truly see a difference on my skin and I want to share the love. I started using Murad products this summer and truly saw a difference in my skin’s texture and appearance. After seeing amazing results, I decided to attack one of my main problems, skin tone unevenness and hyper pigmentation from acne scars. These two things were the sole reason I was not leaving the house without makeup. Enter the Murad Environmental Shield range of products. I started testing these at the beginning of August and I really wanted to fully experience the products before coming on here and spilling the beans. Murad has changed not only my skin but my self confidence. The products talk for themselves. I clean my face every morning with the Murad Essential-C cleanser, add the Murad Advanced Active Radiance Serum and then top it off with the Murad Essential-C Day moisturizer. My acne scarring has disappeared, my skin tone is uniform and I now leave the house without an inch of makeup, whether it’s to work or for a night event and I absolutely adore it. It’s definitely worth the plunge in the Murad world, I’m already contemplating purchasing the Essential-C toner to add to my collection. Go check it out at Sephora.

Forever young: Murad’s Age Reform Intensives review

As a 20-year-old, I’m not super concerned about anti-aging/wrinkles just yet, but I am definitely keen to try anything that will put both of these things off. After spending a lot of time outside in the sun this summer, I became conscious of some premature signs of aging on my face when a few dreaded dark spots started to appear. To battle these dark spots early on, and attempt to try and erase the damage my many careless sunscreen-less days had caused, I turned to Murad’s Age Reform line.

Review by Victoria from Self-Explanatori

Since anti-aging is not my top priority, I opted to try three simple (and less daunting) products: the Intensive Resurfacing Peel, Rapid Collagen Infusion and Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture Cream.

I LOVE face masks and peels. Whether they’re $5.00 or $50.00, and no matter what their purpose is, they always leave your face feeling like you’re fresh out of the womb. For those of you who don’t know the difference between a face mask and peel, let me break it down for you. A peel (gently) removes the outermost layer of skin to reveal the smooth layer underneath. This process helps even out dark spots (like acne scars and sun damage), and with continued use, many peels will even fade fine lines. Masks are geared towards working on your skin as is to absorb excess oil, enhance moisture, detoxify, or provide any other type of treatment.

If you’ve read any of my past skincare product reviews, you’ll know that my favourite products make me feel like they’re actually actively doing something for my skin. I am the type of person who loves being reassured that a product’s active ingredients are working hard by an instantly-provided cooling effect on the skin, or the creation of a tingling sensation. This Murad peel does exactly that. It has a light fresh scent that disappears once applied, and it tingles for the first minute as it begins to interact with your skin.

All you have to do is gently massage and apply the peel all over your face after cleansing and toning. It has gentle microdermabrasion from bamboo beads (fancy, I know) and stimulates cell growth/turnover through glycolic and salicylic acid. I can’t comment on how well this peel would work on older and/or more damaged skin, but I instantly noticed that my face looked brighter, and felt a lot smoother after only one application. After using this peel three times over three weeks, many of my dark spots had noticeably faded. If you have any lingering acne scars, the Intensive Resurfacing Peel is a product that will definitely speed up the never-ending recovery process.

Even though the ingredients and tingling sensation I’ve talked about may make this product seem a little harsh, I assure you that even someone with sensitive skin can use it. You’re supposed to keep this peel on for a maximum of 10 minutes before washing it off with warm water, but because it’s so intense you will still feel/see results even if you can only leave it on for a few minutes.

The Rapid Collagen Infusion is meant to increase firmness after just one application, improving skin’s texture to reduce wrinkle depth. Essentially it is supposed to reveal softer and smoother skin. I used this product at night under moisturizer and found that my skin appeared less dull and tired-looking in the morning, even after some late Netflix nights. Again, I can’t attest to how well this product works on fine lines, wrinkles, or firmness, but it definitely has the ability to rejuvenate your skin.

The Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture cream is unique because even though it’s part of an age reform line, it’s truly an all purpose cream. It claims to lock in moisture for 8 hours while restoring resilience and tone and it truly does all of that. It’s fragrance free and super lightweight making it perfect for day-time and night-time use. Even though it’s lightweight, this cream is still super hydrating and it absorbs into the skin quickly. I also had no issues using it under makeup which is a huge plus for me.

Personally I find that drugstore creams are hydrating enough for my skin except for in the coldest part of Winter, so I understand the hesitation towards dropping a lot of money on a face cream. That being said, if you’re looking for a rich, lightweight daytime moisturizer, or are already using other products from this line, this is definitely a product to save up for.

If anti-aging isn’t something you are worried about yet, then this obviously isn’t the skincare line for you. But if anti-aging is something you are starting to think about or, like me, you are looking to get rid of some minor dark spots, I would definitely recommend trying out some of these products.

Discover a great beauty brand

As women, when you discover a great beauty brand, you hold onto that baby. Maybe we are little late to the party, but we’ve become big fans of the Murad Skincare brand.

Review by Dani from Girls of T.O

Offering scientifically advanced, safe products for both men and women, there are a number of products on their roster that can give you healthier and youthful skin and complexion, but for now, we’ll jump into two products that we are currently loving from Murad.

Beginning with the beauty product that every woman needs right now, Murad’s Soothing Skin and Lip Care has become the product that we never leave home without. Designed to soothe away dryness immediately, this is a beauty product that you will need all year long and works really well under your favourite lipstick. With the strong UV rays in the summer and dry cold in the winter, the Soothing Skin and Lip Care comes in handy when dealing with chapped lips or minor skin irritations and instead, brings long lasting moisture by gently smoothing and exfoliating.

Toss your regular chapstick and opt for this product so you can show your lips and skin some love!

Next up is the Time Release Retinol Concentrate which happens to be our favourite anti-aging product from Murad. It is the powerhouse product that fights the deepest wrinkles to give your skin a youthful appearance, with 93% of users noticing tis difference in 6 weeks of using the product. We like those odds! It’s triple-action wrinkle-fighting formula also features a precision control tip to help rebuild damaged collagen to plump creases and pesky crow’s feet.

Get radiant skin with Murad

We’re in a time where makeup techniques like contouring and strobing are all the rage. But I want to bring us back to the basics and let you in on a little secret: beauty starts with healthy skin! Today, I’m sharing my experience with a few Murad products.

Review by Andréa from Simply Fashion TV

Murad has solutions for many skin types, with products catered to your concerns. Whether you struggle with acne or you need some age defying solutions, their broad selection allows for you to mix and match lines to get the results desired.

In my past life as a spa manager, I actually worked closely in ordering Murad products for my aestheticians to use during their facial treatments. I’ve used various products over the years as well — one of my favourites is the Pore Refining Serum — so when the Murad Canada team reached out to me for a collaboration, I was thrilled! It’s awesome getting to write about a brand I’ve been using for years.

Murad Collagen Support Body Cream

As a huge advocate for full body skin care, the Collagen Support Body Cream was the product I was most looking forward to trying. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint!

First off, the packaging is super cute. When companies take the time to invest in beautiful packaging, it says to me that they also go above and beyond in other areas as well.

When I first opened the attractive yellow container, I immediately feel in love with the crisp, citrus-like fragrance of the Collagen Body Cream. The texture is a way lighter than any cream I’ve used and the product has an iridescent glow to it… maybe because you glow after you apply it!

With the promise to firm up loose skin and assist with toning my body, I’m definitely going to use this every day. The lightweight formal combined with the easy to use container makes it an easy choice to apply after the shower. Intensely hydrating, I don’t feel the need to apply tons of product as a little bit goes a long way. Since it has shea butter and jojoba extract, my skin feels super soft all day long. A++ to Murad for sending this my way.

Murad Skin Smoothing Polish

Next up is the Skin Smoothing Polish, the exfoliant in the Pore Reform line. I was already obsessed with my Apricot Scrub but this Skin Polish is on an entirely different level.

First off, the texture of this exfoliant is very fine. The grains that help leave your skin feeling smooth and soft aren’t harsh like many other exfoliants on the market. The micro-beads also deep clean your pores (as someone with combination oily skin, this is a MUST).

I’ve been using this twice a week and trust me when I say this stuff gets rid of dead skin like no one’s business! Remember, a little goes a long way so you don’t have to use it all over you face. If you’re experiencing large pores or blackheads in your T-zone, then just use it there.

Any time you place an order with Murad, you get free samples. How cool is that! I’m going to share a mini review of the samples that I got with my order as well since I am impressed with these as well.

Essential-C Cleanser: A gentle, citrus cleanser perfect for every day use. It doesn’t leave your skin feeling dry either!

Hydrating Toner: Love the refreshing feel of this toner… I’m still not a fan of spraying myself in the face with products, BUT I do like the feeling immediately after. This is great to use right after your cleanser to restore your pH balance.

Rapid Collagen Infusion (not pictured): Used on a clean face before your moisturizer, the Rapid Collagen Infusion slightly plumps your face for a more youthful appearance. Great for those days where you did not get enough sleep the night before (aka when you have unsightly bags and tired skin).

Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture: I used this product two years ago and I still love it! Great for helping your skin retain moisture without appearing oily. My crazy combo skin loves this moisturizer because it works well on the drier parts of my face (chin & forehead) while still keeping control of the oil on my nose.
